Birthday shenanigans

Riley, a goth girl from parts beyond, stared longingly at the chocolate bar in front of her.  The only thing separating it from her mouth was a thin layer of glass.  

...And about 100 yen.  

"Ooh....  What a gyp!  I don't get anything for my birthday, and my favorite chocolate bar is denied of me too!"  She felt herself start to cry.  "All cause of a stupid 100 yen!"

Suddenly, up from behind her was a girl in a blue uniform.  "Sounds like one hell of a birthday."  Riley turned to look as the girl, Mira Nikaidou, walked up to the vending machine, inserted a hundred yen coin, and retrieved the chocolate bar.  "Strange, this is my favorite chocolate too."  Mira broke the bar in half and handed one part to Riley.  

"Here.  Happy birthday."  

Riley took the chocolate, crying happily.  "Thank you!"  The two girls ate their favorite chocolate together...






... Before they both dropped to their hands and knees!  Mira started barking like a dog, chasing her scarf like it was a tail!  Riley was quiet, but her demeanor and the little nose twitches she was doing brought to mind a rabbit...  What could have happened to these two!?  


From around the corner, a man in a black hood stepped forward.  "Hmm...  Didn't expect to get the other girl, but I won't sneeze at two for one!"  With a little effort, he fit a collar around both of the girls' necks, and a leash to both collars.  "Come along you two.  I'll fit you with your new clothes later."

And so the mysterious man led the happy pet girls away.
